athlon xp 3200+ 400 fsb
512 pc 2700 Kingston ram
2x 256 pc 3200 Corsair XMS ram
60 gig HDD WD 7200 RPM
80 gig HDD Maxtor 7200 RPM
EPOX 8RDA3+ mobo
X-Dreamer II (by aspire) black case
geforce fx 5700 ultra
450 PSU instead of the 350 that comes with the case


All of this for $500

Is it worth it?

other than the ram witch you relay should go for 2x512 of DDR400(pc3200)

That would kick much ass

What he said. That's a kickass system for $500, but replace that ram with 2x512's ASAP.

Yeah that's kick ass for $500. I wouldn't worry too much about the ram. True, it's only going to run at PC2700, but that's not going to make a real big difference.

Um, there will be a huge difference. Not only will it be running all at PC3200 speed, it will be dualchanneled. With one 512 and 2 256's, there is no dualchannel and its slowed down to PC2700 speeds.

actually cyberpowerinc.com runs really good deals on their systems. I bought mine from there. Is a really nice system. Only cost me about $50 for building. I priced all the same parts at new egg.

AMD +2500 barton core
Motherboard with nvidia NForce 2, north and south chipsets
Onboard SoundStorm 5.1 surround sound
2X 1gb ram dual channel geil and kingston w/heatspreaders

ALUMINUM Server 500W case/can't remimber the real name brand (close to the x-Super alien)
3 4 color led case fans
they even threw in rounded cables

about a year ago

Gah again with teh reffering to your card in megabytes it tells us nothing it coudl be a POS 5200 that cost $50 so you wer ripped of or a $500 5900 so you got a great deal you have to clarify the GPU

This system is being sold to me by a friend who likes to sell his "old" and buy a new one about every 5 months.

Last christmas, I bought a Geforce 4 Ti 4800SE from him for 50$.
