Anyone fancy a swim? + Knife Fight

In PS1 it was old and there was no swimming, so if I bail out of a aircraft into water game over.

I think it would be really neat if the lighter troopers could swim maybe not as far as underwater swimming but swimming would be great.

Think about a small squad of elite night op troopers sneaking across the dark night waters with the fire fight happening all around them it looks like a firework show. They could get assure, set up a small defense and take over the outpost.

added with this, there noting more guttering then swimming long and somone starts shooting at you and you can do notting? maybe somkind of weapon that can be used in the water?

Well, if swimming comes into the game, as well it should ,the Vanu will require levitating armour suits that allow us to walk on water

You can knife underwater in PS1.

I'm sure the NC could find a way to weld a motorboat engine to their REXO and make it float. Just don't slow down when you cross the middle.

Most 3rd person MMORPG's swimming is an after thought. And is quite hard to do right, if they arnt willing to add vehicle animations which the majority of the community is up in arms about, dont expect to be doing back stroke accross the surface of a lake anytime soon.

My guess is it will feel kindof like mincraft, space to swim up, and you just kindof walk through it.

Lets remember, there are vehicles for traversing water. The gameplay will involve avoiding it, or getting over it as quickly as possible.

Sound idea though, i would love to equip my cloaker with scoober gear, and wait just below the surface for a sunderer to drive over me so i can stick C4 on its underbelly.
