And why not?

Nicolas Anelka, who also plays for Shanghai Shenshua, is being used to market Firefall, also published by The9.

If they decided to use Anelka for Firefall, I don't see why they wouldn't use Drogba for Planetside 2.
And I bet they've got the money to make Drogba accept it... Which he did, if you look at the second picture (Drogba with a jersey with Planetside 2 written in chinese on it)

We are really excited about the efforts our partners are putting into promoting PlanetSide 2 over there. If it's not obvious, the sports endorsement is huge not to mention that is one of the biggest show booths I've ever seen. China Joy is one of the biggest game shows in the world. Last numbers I saw were well over 150,000 (think Comic Con size).

China playing planetside 2 wont affect the US planetside 2, the only thing to come out of this is money for SOE to keep planetside 2 going so chill your jets dude.

Well, as I said earlier, we've seen what you guys had for North America, we've seen what The9 has for China/Asia, now I wanna see what Pro7 has for Europe

Any idea of when they will start the marketing efforts?
I'd guess next GamesCom, but it'd be nice to hear it from you or that Pro7 community person who posts on here (I forgot his nickname).

You don't really get the point of that thread, do you?

It's not about how it'll affect the US. You know there are people who aren't from the US on here, right?
It's about how it'll affect Planetside's success, and about PS2 marketing around the world.

ProSieben.Sat.1 will have a sizable presence at GamesCom for PlanetSide 2. It will be really hard to miss.
