I think you have maybe missed the point dude.

I paid for a sub, one of the main advertised benefits being que priority. Ive just lost this benefit as a large chunk of the player base just got it for free.

I paid for a sub. A large chunk of the playerbase who dont pay for a sub just got given a months worth of most of the sub benefits for free. As a paying customer I didnt recieve this.

By paying to support SOE I have actualy lost out on free stuff and am not seeing the advantages of 1 of the benefits I paid for.

I can see why this is pissing some people off.

Its also rather handy timing on SOEs part. Its coming pretty close to the time when DAY1 6 month subbers will be deciding "should I resub, is it worth my cash". Now in order to be on equal footing to the non subs they will HAVE to resub in order to have the same queue priority. If they dont re-sub they are worse off, as they didnt get the free month. Maybe thats a bit too much tin foil hat brigade, but pretty handy timing.

I know alot of the servers are dead alot of the time, but at prime-time and when alerts are on , que priority makes a big difference when you only have limited playtime.

I would like to see them give a loyalty award to anyone currently holding and Auraxium level membership. I think that would quell a lot of controversy and lets face it, Auraxium level members are very much SOE's most loyal.

That's dumb, because then you're still pissing off all the people that are in the middle.

Everyone should have gotten benefits from this, the subscribers moreso.

ive never paid for a subscription but apparently have gotten this. hmm. ohwell, ill log in every day for a month to collect certs and then log off again.

Typical corporate mentality. Should have given a loyalty bonus to everyone who have been in the game for a few months. To be selective about it and not grant anything to their most loyal members is just wrong, plain and simple, but it is a marketing tactic we see time and time again from the likes of energy supply companies and especially ISPs - "6 months broadband available at half price (not available to existing customers)".

So much for loyalty.

(I'm not a subscriber, and I got the package, so I'm not whining because I missed out; but this just seems wrong, and leaves a bad taste in the mouth)

existing subs do get the free month, but since they already paid for this specific month, they don´t notice any difference...

it is not a free month anyone could choose it is just this month.


and you can´t give something away for free without freaking out the players who don´t benefit. that´s life.
soe uses this to lure in players who have lost interest. the combination of free stuff and new content (wohoo harasser!) always helps with regaining lost players.

if you want a free gift so hard, quit playing and wait till the next promo of this kind!

I understand it's not necessarily a free month added on to your current paid time, that it's a promotion that will end Jun 1st.

But the simple fact remains if I've paid $15 every month since Nov 20th, but recently couldn't afford it anymore and my sub ran out on April 4th, I am not givin a free month OR free camo for being "loyal" lol

that´s how business works nowadays.

you never care for the loyal customers, you just care for the people who might become customers, or for the loyal customers you already lost, to draw them back in.
and that´s not a thing of the game industry!

you make a new account at a bank, you get 100 bucks on that account for free just for opening it. but the loyal customers who have an account there for years get nothing. common business practice. not my opinion as a gamer.

This free month, if you sign up for the three month plan, it gives you a free month every three months for as long as you continue your subscription.

Wow thats a mouthfull. Now say that three times as fast as you can!
