Character question

Ok, you get 4 characters per account correct? If so, someone told me that you could create 4 TR's on one server & have 4 diff. characters on another empire(such as VS on another server).
If I understood it correctly, you could only have 4 characters on ONE Empire....correct?

With your account you can have up to 4 characters on one server. All your characters on a server must be of the same faction.

Then there is the question about characters on multiple servers.

I was under the impression that you could concieveble have 4 more characters on each server, with the option of having those characters in a different faction on each server. The IGN article suggest that one account won't necessarily allow you to have characters on multiple servers.

I am guessing that this is a decision that SOE has yet to make.

So for now you can count on having atleast 4 characters on one server and they will all be of the same faction.

I'm sure you can only have 4 characters on one facton/empire per account....
Anyway, One of the biggest complaints I'm hearing is the pay-to-play issue. It is like these people think they can get something for nothing! I went on to tell them that it will go towards maintaining servers, bug fixes, etc. One person was even suggestion that they include it in the price of the game

Right! That is like saying you are going to buy this car and you want all mechanical and oil changes included in the sale. I think it will seperate the wannabes from the more serious players!!

4 characters per server (all one empire)

3 servers in US

so you could have:
-4 chars each from TR, VS, NC
-12 TR chars
-8 VS chars and 4 NC chars

etc.

Do you guys know if there will be European servers?
And will European players have to buy some crapy Euro-version of the game so they can't play on US servers?

Are the servers completely seperate from eachother or do they overlap in game? Like east coast playing with west coast and what not.

So basically if you want other people from say the east coast to play with you or vice versa they would need to play with a higher ping.

I am about 90% sure they said there was going to be 3 in the US, and 1 in the UK, and later maybe the Pacifc Rim, and Austraila. The answer is in the IRC dev chat somewhere, but I don't want to look it up.
