As for the question on who would like to set back from a distance and watch the fights and not do anything but command who would do that? I think thats how the question went
my opinion on that theory would have to be people who like RTS's
do it all the time they command there units to go blow things up/recon etc you get the point. if this element was to ever come in the game I would support it personally cause then it would open the game up to the people who are die hard RTS fans. people will flee from games like starcraft. to a 3d virtual online 24/7 battle field. I know I would if I was really into rts's
people who are real good with RTS's are also real good with tactics. its just getting the players to listen though
I personally would listen to a leet rts player over a fps player anyday of the week when it came down to postion tactics
so basically different game tactics would basicly fall into 4 categories these are the guys I would listen to with no aurgument in PS
postional attack and defence tactics = elite rts gamer
battle attack and defence tactics = elite fps gamer
flight tactics = flight sim aces (me for example)
armored coloum tactics = elite tank sim players
so you see ps would need us all!
I only said me in the flight sim cat only because thats what I do I'm a airwar history nut. as well as a pilot my self. I didn't mean I'm the best at it just meant someone with my background in the air industry I would prefer listening to then someone with a lack of air knowlege and tactics on how to supress the enemy. and get out alive
