Sorta. Though that's a little harsh.

Imagine you're a huge fan of a Alternative band. They go out of style and people stop listening to them and you still go to all their concerts to see them, even though they're at High School Auditoriums and no one else comes.

Suddenly, the band switches their sound, releases a new album and reinvent themselves as a boy-band, and now when you go to concerts you're surrounded by screaming pre-teens.

For them, I think it's kinda like that.

Personally though, I'm pumped.

i think its all politics. 10 years ago gaming was for nerds. now some feel their community is being intruded upon by those outsiders.

planetside 1 had concepts and mechanics similar to a military shooter within the comfines of quake mechanics, but was not innovative and daring enough to change the genre, which call of duty 1 did in the same year.


also, there are some people who like to attach electrodes to their genitals. some people like broken awkward archaic gameplay.

Correct. But some people didn't like CoD, and kept playing Planetside. And those people are upset that despite being faithful to Planetside, CoD is now being forced on them.

Not asking you to agree, but at least try to understand why they are upset.

BF3 is broken at a technical level. I already mentioned the clipping issues, but there is also a lot glitches with the environmental destruction stuff. And more to the point the game doesn't work properly on the minimum specs that they listed for it.

Defending BF3 doesn't make you mature, it means that you have low standards.

ill side with you on this one but cod 1 was amazing while the newer fps cod black ops bf3 are all just really bad game's yes they sold a crap ton of copy's but id bet if you did a poll iq test of the united states or any country the number of low scoring people would almost match the number of black ops players =3. also i don't want cod with open map's if you do go pitch that to EA they might just do it. hell id even give it a try if they did but this isn't codside or bfside its planetside and i get pissed when people try and turn it into one of those two =3.

Do we know what kind of issue tracking system SoE will be using for the beta? Or will it be the private forums?
