Certainly great to see that there's no PR wall between the devs and the players, I believe Planetside 2 has formed out to be such a stellar game already due to this interaction and openness towards the fans.
I've witnessed what PR walls can do to company-customer relations, and your opinion may vary, with the whole ME3 debacle and the way those PR guys waged literal war on customers asking for information.
I have no doubt Planetside 2 will be a complete success, and become an example of what happens when you both listen to your customers and fans as well as being true fans themselves.
I hope that no outside force will ever try to push you another way, executive meddling has done a lot of harm to many game companies already.
