Hows this for an Expansion

[The Eternal]

Okay besides the water expansion idea check this out; it adds story, weapons, equipment, vehicles, and possible new races.

Note that all of this can be introduced via massive GM event!

Phase 1
The Vanu return from where ever they've been, and proceed to team up with the Vanu Sovereignty supplying them with new weapons and vehicles, basically the Vanu Sovereignty once Reverse engineering old Vanu technology, are given fresh top of the line technology.

Phase 2
Then the Reason why the Vanu left returns, a Second alien race
Returns (lets call them the Sakall), a Demi Human type race (I.e. Lizard people, Bird people ect) that are extremely tribal. The Vanu Tricked them into slavery, but the Skakall weren't suited for slavery and began to die off, this is where the Vanu created Respawn Technology to keep their slaves from dieing out. Thru a flaw in the design the technology doesn't work on Vanu, it shortens there life span, and intelligence. (But the Vanu developed phase shift technology, so when they would of died they "Warp" to a safe place, ex home continent or respawn) So after about a thousand years of slavery the Sakall wised up stole some Vanu Technology and Proceeded to Rebel. The Sakall though badly outmatched slowly rebelled the Vanu, Repelling them off world, chasing them away, the left the planet deserted, and now the Sakall have Followed the Vanu back where it all began. Supporting Freedom over Oppression the Sakaal Ally themselves with the New Conglomerate and Fight the Vanu Alliance.

Phase 3
In the Midst of the Chaos the Terran Are nearly forgotten, When One day the Rest of the Terran Empire manages to Re-open the Worm Hole. Fear of the Respawn technology Spreading around there entire empire and watching it Crumble to the Chaos of war that is now engulfed the 3 factions. The Terran make the Worm hole 1 way, Sending the Terran New Technology developed indepently from Auraxis, Thus updating the Terran Arsenal this update allows the Terran to get back into the "Ring" with the Vanu and New Conglomerate

If this actually was to be an expansion pack for planetside i would be first in line to collect it from my local video game store.

but seeing some NC soldiers beeing half human, half bird in yellow uniform will be to much..... VS and TR would die laughing hehe

not crazy bout the half human thing but otherwise it's a pretty cool concept

You can have the coneheads team up with the NC, they are semi human.

Hey, ya know, even if the NC were half human half bird, the TR and VS wouldn't be laughing when they got their eyes pecked out.

That would add a whole lot, but I didn't know they could do something that complex in an expansion....never been done before, all they ever really do is add new land and maybe three or four new creatures and maybe 1 playable race. But whatever.

I think it's a good idea. I don't know how much they're planning to expand on this game. It IS after all an FPS. Since this is the first time for this kind of MMOFPS (i think) we have nothing to base our thoughts on. In short, i like the idea, we'll have to wait and see what the devs come up with...if anything.

I think you would have to release all three phases more or less simultaneous to keep the balance from disappearing entirely and the player masses from rioting.

Will there be a line of collectable action figures with this expansion? Or will they make the action figures from the first PS and then come out with the expansion pack set? Serroiusly it does sound like a very good plot line. If they evey do make a line of acton figures like they have with other games I will certianly be buying them.

Excelent! Although compared with the technology of the actual vanu, somehow I doubt the TR would be even. But if you could get around that, I can see no problem with your idea.

I'd think the VS would be the birds. The NC is against the VS because fo the VS's trying to change humans.

Humans have evolved and continues to do so.. the VS merly wants to speed things up hehe
