PvE in PS2... I'm.... reserved at this point but I'm sure (or hope) it won't get added if it compromises the core PvP gameplay in any way.

might be some form of training environment where new players can test themselves against AI before going on against players?

Some bots to defend empty bases would be ok. Everything else would be probably to much.

another playable faction could destroy the balance.

Maybe that 4th faction would be nice for some temporary live events.

Maybe its for uncontrolled territory(towers and outposts).maybe if their arent people in a territory for a amount of time its uncontrolled by any faction then they put in the 4th npc faction so we cant just hop in and cap it easy with just 1 dude on a bike.

Yah... If they did it I would imagine an alien race from another world that occasionally attacks Auraxis... that or humans that broke off from all 3 factions (Space Pirates lawl) and just perform raids on bases and they steal/hamper resource production unless stopped.

eh, honestly if I want PvE I'll play a game designed for it (Firefall, another awesome developer team) and would prefer to keep my primary game purely PvP focused
