Left Hand and Right hand in the game?

Alright, in most FPS's that I've seen, well in everyone that I can think of the character is right handed but in planetside I've seen both left and right handed....is there an option for this or something? Someone please explain, thanks.

Has anyone noticed that the NC AV Max has his gun on his right hand, but in 1st person view the gun is on the left?

lol, ive played a ton of fpss and none of them have had a way to change what hand you are... but im ambidextriuose... so i should be able to hold 2 guns at once!
