Doubtful? I'm not talking about head shots here, only body shots. As long as it hits.

I think this will be an effective TR Hunter/Killer squad

Sunderer
2 TR MAX suits with assorted gear
3 TR Meduims w/ Cyclers & Repeaters (two w/ medical certs, the other is the driver)
2 TR Mediums w/ Strikers & Repeaters
1 TR Medium w/ Thumper & Engineering Equipment

Escort Prowler
Crews Preference

Scout Mosquitoes (2)
Pilots Preference

Alright heres how it works, the Main force stays together near the largest concentration of bases while the two skeeters, piloted by the squad leader and his second-in-command zip around and go hunting for targets. When they spot a enemy unit they follow it at maximum range and attempt to determine its target. Once they are relitively sure where the enemy is heading they set a waypoint at an ambush point such as a creek bed or cliff. Once the main force arrives at ambush point they setdet charges and anti-tank mines all over the place. Then they try to hide as best they can and wait. Once the enemy slips into there trap they set to work. They lead the attack by setting off all there det charges to confuse and bloody the enemy then the squad opens up on there preassigned targers, MAX suits target buggies, the Strikers and the Prowler target tanks, the Thumper and skeeters target the APCs and the rest take out infantry. This would obviously work best at night, as the forward scouts would have to be extremly vigalent to notice the ambush in time to prevent the main force from entering the mine field.

This squad would require a dedicated group who knows the area like the back of their hands, but if used effectivly one or two of these squads could become a serious pain in the ass for attacking ground forcing, forcing the enemy to take to the sky. Once the enemy is in Galaxies the majority of the forces are stuck watching the attack through a window allowing the TR to counter there attacks with as little as a third of the manpower. Unless of course some of them want to jump out and seperate themselves from the rest of the force.

Edit, Clarifications: The Thumper and skeeters arent trying to kill the APCs, there attacking the doors trying to make sure anyone who tries to step out never makes it off the ramp, and the Sunderer should have suppressors in the trunk for night fights.

The only problem is getting the twelve MAXs to the battle. The Galaxy only holds one (maybe two, I forget). I am not sure how many the ground transports can take.

So if you are going to take that many transports to battle, you might as well fill them up with grunts. Either that or the MAXs are hiking a long way.

In comes the Vanu's speed and agility!

Seriously i agree getting a whole squad of MAXs would be long. Vanu would get there early than others but it would still take a butt load of time unless the battle is near a spawn point.

lets say you could fit 2 MAXs in a sunderer.

how tight would it be to see a caravan of 6 sunderers rolling down the road surrounded by basilisk and harasser escorts. maybe even a mosquito or two for air cover. filled to the brim with people ready to destroy the enemy.

......

i hate it when i do this.

get all hyped up.

it just reminds me that i can't play it.

Actually according to Dr. X or whatever his name is, MAXes will have a sprint ability where they can sprint in a straight line so it can keep up with some of the slower vehicles meaning it shouldn't take too long to get to battle.

Guys?

Suppressor != Pistol.

Stealths can't carry them. You can't use it as a sidearm.

Everyone got their info straight?

And from screenshots I've seen, mediums can carry two rifles. Maybe not the bigger stuff (mini-chaingun, etc), but quite a bit none the less.

Repeater + thumber. Bolt Driver + jackhammer. You name it.

AND a pistol AND a knife.

And grenades, REC's, healing tools, engineer tools (whatever they're called), and stuff.

And crack. (Crank yankers anyone?)

I think people will be able to use any weapons/equipment/grenades/ammo combinations they want as long as they have inventory space with the exception of the stealth suit. The MAX can carry all the stuff but he/she won't be able to use it.

I'm NC, so here it goes:

General purpose
3-4x Reins with assault weapons(doesnt matter what kind) and assorted Certs
2x Agile with Bolt drivers
1x Reaver and/or 1x Mosquito
1x Enforcer
1x MAX
If there is room, maybe a stealth or Vanguard.

In the screen shot of the TR soldier (viper) with the Mini-Chaingun he has what looks to be some kind of assault rifle on his back and a pistol on his hip, suggesting that you can cary two large weapons and a sidearm.

http://www.planetside-universe.com/i...3&filetype=jpg

For example, the Common pool rocket launcher is one use, and the description talks about dropping the launcher after you fire the rocket. It would kinda silly to have a large one use weapon if you couldn't carry a second large weapon.
