the database comprimised was from 2007, and they state only about 900 or so cards were even still active. if this is true its nice for me, cause my cards from 07 are all expired and replaced.

well they would have the card number it wouldn't be hard to figure out the new card expiry dates, using Visa or Mastercards time limit if you have the previous expiry date due to the automated renewal.
The only thing you wouldn't have is the security code and plenty of places and sites still let you buy stuff without the SC.

That's presuming you still have the exact same credit/debit card number and haven't lost your card, had it stolen, changed banks, changed accounts, etc. Speaking only for myself, the number which was on file in 2007 is about six accounts removed from the one which is currently on file.

I didn't know they hinted it would be today. I'd be surprised if it came up before Playstation Network, and if they say 5/31 for that, then we should expect it sometime mid-June. Prove me wrong Sony. Prove me wrong.

when my card expired i got a new number, i always have and i just assumed everyone else did. as a bonus i have a new account with a new bank as well. :P
