Well I think Smedley actually said they were going to be even more epic than ever before. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are bigger.

Depends on how you define epic.

T-Ray as usual shows up and throws out a comment which you aren't really sure what he is commenting.

I don't reallly want to entertain the thought and what have you but UT3 or not is not the issue. Im sure you could make Planetside again if you wanted. Its more of a cough cough limited scope hardware cough, know what im saying? concoughsole cough.

Bad idea. Is having destructive flora worth the extra lag?
Would it really bother you that much if there would be no destroyable trees? I rather want little lag than the possibility that I can cut down trees

Still that doesn't mean very much. Like everyone else said he has been cryptic at the least, and truthfully any other source other then the sight they are pushing information into is 3rd party and hearsay. Even Massively.com has stated that the information being released is through here. I think I am not going out on a limb here when I say you can expect anything said anywhere else, to be false or at least false hope.

I'm not saying the game is going to be released in March. But I'm of the opinion that it's a lot further along than nay-sayers think. Let's not forget, SOE doesn't have the greatest PR and Marketing track record when it comes to Planetside. The original game had how much pre-launch and pre-beta PR? I can honestly say, I remember a total of two magazine ads before beta came out. That was *IT*.

True. But in fairness games as a whole were not a huge market that they are today nor did they have that many restrictions or press back in the day. I mean hell who didn't play Duke Nukem...

Well if we are to believe john smedley from his blog it'll still be massive massive. So I trust at least that'll be true. As for release date...

I think that's pretty credible. Whether or not they'll make it... maybe. Though I find a Late Q2 early Q3 release date more likely.
