i attended a lot of gamescoms and gamescons over the last few years and even did some showsupport for soe there once (for starwars galaxies in a stormtrooper costume) but everytime i asked about planetside the soe guys there wouldn´t even know the game ;-)

i really hope they take the chance and talk about ps2 this year. for the media coverage of the gamescom is huge and it´s the biggest gaming convention in europe

True true. Well, is any of our guys there? Im thinking about driving by, but its quite a trip, and i dont really want to waste money if theres no news.

Assuming a vast majority of people believe this game could revolutionize the FPS genre, I'd find it bad business to NOT take every opportunity to get the word out.

But who knows

We don't have anyone out there no, our budget isn't quite high enough for that sort of travel

There are PS2 devs there and Smed is likely there as well.

Yea the chances of seeing anything at the Sony Press Conference were slim. Here's to hoping for some interviews with some tidbits.

The MMOs will be out in force too. Guild Wars 2 continues to entice us, while Planetside 2 looks to be one of the most ambitious games we’ve ever seen.

The SOE booth is in the business area, that said, I did go there. It is a shared booth with 8 others, and they are only doing on-appointment demos for the press. While I did manage to speak with one of the Sr community people, and I showed Matt Higby where the toilets were, it seems very closed off.
