Beta is not starting today. Higby is getting his haircut when it is convenient for SOE (i.e. camera show is on hand), he probably forgot something he said on Skype, which to be honest, looked like he was half awake for.

on his own twitter page, which proves he clearly remembers what he said. Don't believe me look at his twitter page.

My opinion is that people should only definitively say something (e.g. x is happening because of y) when they do have the info. Otherwise it should be phrased thusly:
"I think x is happening because of y."
