Armor color

What is the deal with the armor colors? If you advance in rank or get more certs, will your armor color change? Look at these two pics of the NC.

See how one armor is blue and the other is yellow. Who would be the higher ranked dude?

From what we've heard so far, the higher in rank you get, the more you armor changes into the secondary color. In the example you gave with the NC, Blue is the primary color, and Yellow is the Secondary color. So the guys in the first shot are n00bs since they are mostly blue. The guy in the second one is mostly yellow so he would be higher in rank.

For the TR the ones with more Red are higher in rank.

Now the question for he Vanu is what color they change into? I can onlt remeber seeing them as purple. I don't know what the secondary color is.

well i'll put in my two(or more) cents worth.....

the armour colour change is a hell good idea, for instance a sniper seeing a bright yellow suit runnin to the nearest cover would be thinkin' "hell yeah, time to bag me a general"....

it would also make people mascarading as n00bs for gains in different ways "hey im a n00b, gimme free guns" alot more diffucult, ive seen it happen in other games, especially rpg, n it sux big time. It makes people less genorous as the're not sure if they're actualy helpin a n00b get on his feet, or just helpin sum1 that doesn't really need it.

your rank changes as you get a certain number CEPs (if you don't know what CEPs are then lookin the FAQ). When your rank changes, your secondary color starts to take over more.

High ranking Vanu will be even harder to see now, the 2nd color is black so during night time they will be invisible.

I still dunno if i'll end up black or red. :/

The shots I have seen of the VS have shown them to have purple as their primary color. For their rank advancements, they have been getting little patches that are purple grey and green. I think it won't be so much a secondary color for the VS, but patches with the green and light purple VS symbol.

I guess no one else noticed that the NC guy is wielding the cycler, a TR only weapon, which tells us that you can use other empires weapons if you can get em.

i personally wish u could have some kind of equipment thingy that would be like a camo suit. all these bright colors kind of put me off, specially if were trying to save my ass if i ever get shot down and hide in a forest (wont EVER happen )

Low ranking TR will also be hard to see at night, unless you have leet Vanu eyesight.
