An interesting map...

Map of the United States

Its a map of the United States, with each state compared to the country that could be considered their economic peer by GDP.

Let me hoist my confederate flag, and sit on my front porch in a rocking chair holding a shotgun.

Germany(#3), Japan(#2), UK(#5) and the Peoples Republic of China(#4) are all missing.

France is #6 and matches California(our largest GDP).

Those 4 have larger GPDs than any single state.
