Question Heavy Cycler ROF (MAX wpn.)

At present the rate of fire on the Terran Republic MAX unit's heavy cycler (rotary anti-infantry cannon) seems low. In order to give the weapon the "feel" of a proper minigun I wonder at the possibility of increasing the weapon's rate of fire.

This change would nessecitate a decrease in damage per bullet and increase in magazine size and ammunition storage. Additionaly, if armour is working on a damage gate or damage reduction system the Cycler may need some "AP rounds" to ensure it's DPS against armoured targets remains static.

Also, a nice long two or three foot muzzle flare would be just grand!

It makes sense to have fewer shots for better performance, but there's no reason it can't LOOK like it's firing a metric boatload of bullets per second. Like the heavy weapons guy in the original Team Fortress. Bullet wall splashes could be created in groups to further enhance the effect. I support MOAR BULLETZ for the TR.

i agree. dont have to change the damage output or the accuracy.

currently it doesnt look like it feels like a spray of bullets that the original did.

This is something I noticed in the E3 (primarily) play as well. It seemed almost like it's encroaching on the NC territory of slower-fire, higher-power. The TTK was decent for the TR AI MAX setup, so yeah buff the fire rate and nerf the damage to maintain a constant dps/ttk.
