Edit: Nvm, it works. It's always nice to have a bigger community for PS2. I hope other fan sites even pop up, but none will hold the crown that PSU does

No harm in multiple fan sites for the same game. It's a great way to build community. I expect the PSU forums to remain strong when the official forums go live. The same may hold true for this site.

Yup. There is an official PlanetSide forum, why go to the trouble to make and support a completely different one? Just go to the official one

No one can even compete with PSU. So no harm having additional fan sites that try to fill the same gap as PSU. (Also, if PS2 is as big as we expect it to be, there will be a ton of fan sites.)

All I can say is good luck...although I find it kind of hard to compete with a fan site like PSU that has had more then a decade to evolve into the nexus of Planetside info it is today.

Actually, there really isn't an official one. There is a section on the PS1 boards, but that's it. I love PSU, but it is not and will not be the be all end all. It is a nice place for a small niche of fans from PS1, but seriously, PS2 will have a huge crowd and all this banter here will be minimal compared to the official forums. No knock on PSU, just the reality.

Expect a lot of fan sites and PSU will be a strong one if not the #1 one, but perhaps not. PSU has the old crowd and some young faces, but if PS2 is everything it aspires to be, there will be others and Hamma and crew will have their work cut out for them.

Again, not a knock on PSU, just a reality check for those who live in this bubble.
