Anyone play it?

I've been playing electric for about three years myself... it's really fun to play in your spare time.

I do. I'm not very good, I play rhythm for my band, but that's about it. I'd love to get really good at it, but with all the other instruments I have to learn it has taken a backseat unfortunately.

Started playing bass guitar around the age of 7, had a half-sized bass. Started playing guitar at 14. Started learning drums at 21. Various other instruments in between... I was in the band geek mafia for a while.

That's quite a collection you have there.

I just use an Epiphone SG/Epiphone acoustic, I don't care to pay $600 extra for a Gibson stamped on the top of my guitar. They sound really nice with a MG30FX Amp.

I prefer Epiphones myself. Gibson makes great guitars, but name-brand means jack and shit. Whatever gets you the best sound that you prefer, I say. Each of my guitars has a distinct sound and I use specific pedals and amps with each, just because the combinations work for me and for the style of music I can play with them.

In that picture the two guitars which are on the left are both no-name pawn-shop specials. I paid forty bucks for each of them. The bass right next to them isn't a pawnshop special but I paid twenty bucks for it from a sound engineer that I knew, it was cheap because it was a piece of junk - electronics burnt out, someone had spray-painted the body so we couldn't even ID its make, no strings, body warped. I completely rebuilt it using a variety of components so now it's a Frankenbass.

You should. It's very fun. Start out by learning Good Riddance by Green Day if you want, pretty easy and a very fun tune to play (and sing) when you're good at it.

I'm not that good, I can play simple things. Since I blew up my amplifier I've not practiced playing.
