Where's our thread on the march roadmap stuff! Lots of interesting stuff in this update compared to last one, IMO. I wonder if it's on time though, considering we still don't have stuff from the earlier updates.. account wide unlocks wru!

Continent locking coming before Hossin and Implants!

We havent got half of febs update. Dont expect March's update til late June, esp if they start taking dev resources to make a new arena shooter (PS2: MLG edition)

First, the road map was not about when stuff should get released but when it will be in their internal project planning. Which is confusing for the average player of course that can't be bothered with project planning.

Besides that, rule no 1 in project management is that hardly anything ever gets delivered with time, budget and QA requirements. Meaning that you should expect these road map features to crop up more and more over time. Stuff that's in the road map for June should probably see the daylight around August.

Which probably wasn't exactly the most clever idea, ESPECIALLY considering the nature of project planning (i.e. shit allways takes longer than announced/expected).

The planetside 2 app still hasnt been released. Ive been looking forward to seeing it forever.

It should all be released in the newest update coming up, which if I'm not mistaken, includes Hossin as well. (correct me if I'm wrong)

We got these last week:

• Passive Certification gain ftw.
• Virtual Reality Training Center, praise baby jesus.
• Flash Update with dinking seat, cloaking and new weapon in the renegade shotty.
• Respawn & Map screen revamp as cancerous as it is now with the random instant actions.

We should see this later in the week:

• Empire specific Rocket Launchers with a free bucket of tears.

Probably wont see this until late next week at the earliest.
And first part of GU05 is due then as well

• Account level unlocks

And these from the original February Roadmap have been pushed back to another time TBA.

• Improved Item Preview
• Loadout Screen Revamp
• Regional Empire Priority System

And none of that is set in stone either.

No, there's still a 5 year plan, but it's hard to plan this far ahead and tell players now - especially considering potential competition (protect USPs).

The 6 month plan is more of a "we're going to start work on that around this and this month, give us feedback ahead of time please" thing.

They updated the Roadmap... tons of new stuff and many things got changed to "Unscheduled".

Hossin and Continent Locking are on hold (Unscheduled) until they implemented the "Battle Flow Improvements" (i.e. Lattice System).

Edit: They changed the "Convenience Items" into 3 seperate Items and changed them all to "Unscheduled" -_-. So no Server Transfer, no Name Change and no Cert Reset

And to stay on topic: With that update you can see that their Roadmap is more of a "Whats maybe coming in the future" than a strict "plan".
