What will be the future of Planetside when Planetside 2 is finally released?

Do you think they will they kill the subscription model and make it FREE?

They could always make it free, but really in comparison, I believe it wouldn't be worth it to make it free.

Pull the plug and utilize the server in another manner.

I'd imagine PS1 will be deserted, even if it were F2P. <shrug>

Damn I forgot who specifically (smed, Brewko, or Higby) said the game isn't going to be shutdown once PS2 is released. Perhaps they are going to wait and see what happens to decide its fate? This was said over the weekend during the Planetside Day events.

I also remember this and i believe it was Smed, however for the first replier; Why do you want them to just "Pull the plug" :P

I have some awesome memories from Planetside I hope they dont pull the plug

if the game was free I would hop in from time to time to have a play

as painful as it will be they should pull the plug, ps2 is f2p and everyone from ps1 will move to ps2. ps2 definitely appears to be a vastly more awesome version of ps1 from the vids i've seen. should be a lot more fun overall.
