SOOOOOOO pretty and just incredible! I LOVE how the gunplay looks in this game, though I gotta say it's almost eerily BF3 like. I don't care I love that style but yea very close.
I honestly don't like the jump pads I'd rather walk a super far distance, or better yet. Let the people that are already on that side of the tower take care of it and stay put. No jump pads feels more immersive too me the Jpad approach is too arcade for my style. Either way still going to be the best game ever. Only bad thing. I'm now skepticle that Beta will begin after E3. Maybe it will be announced when but I don't expect it for quite some time now. Not only does TB talk like it isn't coming but it looks really early for beta.

Rats! just watched the vid for the 3rd time.
I thought TB's mag killed a Vanny, but nooooo it was only a fecking lightning Also, my gf watched it and liked it, so that's a winfor the game being able to attract casual gamers (don't tell her I said that lol) |

Jump pads and a couple of seconds to jump to each corner of the base. A two/three minute trek to get to each corner. For massive bases, I think they're a great idea.

Jump pads are a bit Tribes or Unreal Tournament. Not sure it really fits. But then again Planetside does a lot of things that are not very realistic. I would just expect stuff like that to be more exclusive to Alien ruins or something, and not a part of human bases.
I'm also not sure about the aircraft going into third person during boost. Is that only for Alpha? Because it kind of ruins the whole idea of skillful dogfights where its more difficult to keep a lock on your opponent. If all you have to do when you lose sight of them is boost for half a second to find them again. I also hate how quick the getting in/out of vehicles is. It's just too arcade. Add a delay at least jeez. On the plus side night combat looks great. And I love how big an complex the bases seem to be. I just hope the indoor combat part is also good. Also what little we see of the MAX looks promising. |
