Any word on things like flares to go along with the other night vision assets?
I think parachute flares would be awesome as well as thermal sites. Being able to see heat signatures would add a whole new layer of tactics to this game. |

You know what else would be interesting? If you could cut the power to bases and shut the lights off that way...forcing night vision usage... Last edited by Stardouser; 2012-03-23 at 03:21 PM. |

For that matter I hope night actually makes it dark enough to require NVG and not just a sort of twilight-ish light even at 2AM. |

Day/night is confirmed by the devs as being in the game, and they've said that the Forgelight engine can do some pretty amazing stuff in that regard.
I believe Higby said in his recent AMA on reddit that the night cycles would be variable, so some nights might not be very dark while others would be pitch black and require spotlights or NVG. If that ends up in the game I think it'd be awesome, trying to plan stealth attacks for the darkest night in the cycle to lower the chances of being spotted. |
