Dimebag was a top-notch guitarist. Some of the stuff he could do was amazing.

I was fortunate enough to get to meet the band (Pantera) once. Awesome guys.

One of the greatest metal guitarists of our time, and from what I've heard a nice guy to boot. And even if he wasn't, who fucking cares? He was gunned down in cold blood for no reason. That alone is enough to warrant mourning and cries of wtf.
