Well the only depressing part about the Moive was they broke a cardnial rule of the comics and showed Judge Dreads face. I mean if the comic makes a big deal about never showing him with his helmet off the moive could have at least made an effort to do the same. Like maybe have it get knocked off in a fight or something, but nope. Stalone takes it off right out the gate and never puts it back on.
Other then that it wasn't bad for a comic to moive translation. (Blade still get's my vote for best Comic to moive translation)
