Happens to me pretty regularly. There's a 9 page thread on the official tech support forums about this.

I've gotten this before. The solution was to get my ISP to replace my modem.

That was your net connection being crappy, not PS2... the problem described is apparently caused by a conflict with the PS2 software with software-based overclocking programs running in the background, at least as far as we can tell.

Around 30 minutes is as long as I can play before I have to log out/in.

I've been logging out/in every 15 minutes. Frustrating.

Would love to have one of the guys with their hands in the engine drop by and shed a little light on the issue for us. You guys have fantastic insight into these problems and I would love to hear what you think.

Got my first time today, was at Sungrey Amp. Dual Mercys firing at NC HA, he was maybe 15-20meters away.. There was dust flying all around the guy but no hit markers. The Mercy is my 3rd most used weapon so I know it should have killed him, instantly remembered this thread and thought to myself damn I must be getting this desync issue.. I Alt+F4d after that happened. Rather annoying something this hugely gamebreaking has suddenly popped up. Never had this issue in beta/early release.

I had this yesterday.. was certain my sniper hits were landing but they didnt register.. so I ran up to the guy I was sniping and pistoled him down (which worked fine) .. dont know if it's the same issue it seemed tied to one gun for me.

I get this too, tho not as long-term as some of the videos posted- I'll get a few seconds of nothing then few minutes of normal randomly. No tuner software here.

I wonder if there are a few causes for similar issues and that's why it's taking so long to fix.

(One of the issues might be outfits like PCYS... bullets don't hit half the people in that clan.)

On a positive note... I've been incredibly productive IRL, since the patch.

So... thank you game-breaking PS2 bug - I had some stuff I needed get done! My GF would also give you a thumbs-up, too!

Happened again last night.... about 4 hours in, this time.

I had disabled AI suite 2 but left MS Afterburner on... I try again tonight with both disabled and see how it goes.

Heard about this happening to some of my other Devil Dogs. One of them reported the culprit as being some software provided by their motherboard maker Asus, AI Suite II. I had the same software on my system but got no errors. I formated last weekend, and post-install started having the same problem. I uninstalled AI Suite II and sure enough, instantly no more problems.

Just an update... disabled Afterburner and AI Suite 2 last night before I played. I didnt have any issues during the 3 hours of play. I'll keep you guys posted.

Update:

Disabled both AI Suite 2 and Afterburner again last night.

De-sync issue again after two (2) hours of play. No guns worked but interestingly, my knife did...

Also had an episode of very slow-mo movement, like i was struck in glue...

I have no idea whats going on. Log out and login fixed the problem though.

I had the same and similar symptoms and I found a solution for me. I'm just trying to help folks who have the problem.

I currently OC my i7 2600k via BIOS and my 470gtx via MSI Afterburner. I have not encountered any desync issues or hit-reg problems (since replacing my modem and wireless router).
