System specs @ 2ghz dual core & opengl 3 card

Was I hallucinating? Because I could swear I could have read that somewhere... can someone verify? Look at so many articles already and I can't seem to find it (and it does seem like it isn't asking for much at all)

there are no official spec requirements the game is not yet fully optimised.

To add they are aiming for it to work on 4-5 year old systems but don't expect it to look all pretty.

I'm aware of this, but i specifically remember reading/hearing that for some reason and I cannot find the source. I was asking if anyone else had some clarification.

I read somewhere Hig said they were aiming for dual core processor and graphics card that supports pixel shader 3.0, don't have the source though.

I think that was from one of Higby's screenshot posts when we asked him what kind of hardware he used to render it, and he replied "SLI'ed 560s, but that's way overkill."

Also, that may come from the PhysX requirements (I know it needs shaders 3.0 to work).

Only part I heard about any specs was that Higby was using a Core i5 2500 and GTX 560 Ti in their system that seem to run the game pretty good. Most likely what we are seeing in game isn't what the max detail is going to be if I had to guess.

SOE wants systems going back 4-5 years. That puts it at for Intel anyway the Core 2 Duo and Nvidia the 8800 Series. I wouldn't expect to run the game possibly on anything less then that as the performance will likely be unplayable even on the lowest settings.

It's free....I think that pretty much guarantees it will be playable by average pc's IMO..Unless they dont want to make money that is.

On the other hand they shouldnt stall development and technology due to 5 year old PCs either

im running a dual core 3.3 ghz with a gtx 280 on 3 gb ram on win xp 32 lol
I don't see any reason to upgrade for awhile so i hope its playable at moderate settings with this.

That hardware is not new.

OpenGL 3.0's debut was on the Geforce 8000 series. That's 5-6 years old at this point.

If you are not running atleast that, go get one, they are cheap.

It was definitely said on an interview pixel shader 3 and a dual core. But there is no confirmation officially as i don't think even they know yet.
