Didn't quite a few of the devs just get back from China? As much as they would love to rush to the offices and push the Closed beta button, after a 20 hour trip they probably more than likely walked into their house/apartment and blacked out on the floor. They also live on the west coast so it's 11:30pm their time, so I am not really sure why people would get upset they don't have invites yet.

If people have them yet, it might be tech test guys, I'd imagine they would be the first group imported into the new closed beta privileges for accounts. So don't start committing mass suicide yet, if you hear nothing by Tuesday 11:30pm PST.. mass suicide is at your own discretion.

I sorta personally doubt it's Smedley/Higby (let alone Tray or Maggie) who are the only driving force of the closed beta. Like sure, they probably wanna be around when stuff goes down, but I really doubt it's Smedley himself sending the invites, it's probably someone much lower on the chain of command.

So while the Chinajoy is a valid argument to the point, I really doubt its gonna stop closed beta from starting.

I regularly check my spam for that reason atm, but I've also made sure everything from SOE comes through.

I also regularly test through the website that I'm not flagged for beta and for some reason just never got the mail cos that has happened too
