Wow this really got off-topic since I started it... and few people have even mentioned what I meant to get across.

Some of the character art (cough VS cough) looks a little "too" sci-fi, so much so, that it almost seems cartoon-like or childish.

I'm going to play no matter what, I'm a PS1 vet and I played that game for 2 years, there's no way I could avoid playing PS2.

Sadly this. I think we're stuck with bad animations. Especially if we also want some texturing/modeling redone (vanu max, medics)

Will be a small miracle to get either one...to get both? Unlikely.

And you do realize that Crytek is releasing Warface, a F2P game with even better animations?
A F2P arena game.
