Mentor ship program... means that it's made by students - so it may or may not be included. From designpoint it looks legit. Not a fan of it though, the "windshield" bars could have been made better

Mentorship program was a concept generation program for students, Sony holds the rights to the outcomes of the program, but there's no guarantees any of those would ever be used. Especially when the styles used for that program differed from student to student.

T-Ray talked about it in one of the interviews... forgot where i found that. He said they designed something for a "game like planetside" - i guess Sony reserved the option to use their work if it's good enough (nothing wrong with that).

So, a buggy and a humvee. Other than the Phantasm, what would be some potentially new aircrafts for PS2? The current ESFs seem too versatile for it to make much sense to have another attack aircraft.

Literal divebomber? (With torpedoes if we ever get naval warfare!

Stealth laser target bomber?

But yeah, they basically made the ESFs an air superiority fighter, a dogfighter, a divebomber, an A-10 Thunderbolt, VTOL Harrier and attack helicopter in one.

They could however split these roles up over time and create niche vehicles.

empire specific buggies would be awesome

the Vanu can have a floaty one with a laser gun on the back
the NC can have the most armoured one with the strongest gun on the back, but is the slowest
the TR has the fastest buggy and fastest gun

that would be cool

No thanks, i don't need a Sunderer... and we certainly don't need that invincible float crap again. CF please... i hate always beeing the slowest and the guy who is supposed to be the most armored (yet isn't: reaver) and hardest hitting - with a shotgung (yet is whined about if it actually makes sense: Scatmax)

If i wanted hitting power i would pick a Lightning, not a Buggy. A vehicle class that is supposed to be fast and hit&run doesn't make sense with armor and low speed. And skip the buggy shotgun SOE, please.
