The Dune series of books is one of my favorite, and most dog-eared, of all my personal collection of books. I've reread each of the six existing books (and the three "prequel" books written by his son) at least twice, and most of them more like five times each. I look forward to the day that his son feels confident enough to finish the "Chapterhouse/Heretics" trilogy, as he plans to do.
On the otherhand, Auraxis and Arrakis have NOTHING to do with each other, despite being similar in name structure.
Auraxis is a world with multiple terrain types, lots of water, and no sand worms. Arrakis is the home of the Fremen, Shai-Halud (sp?) and is arid as all get out. Despite the fact that the pronounciation is similar (oar-axe-is (PS) vs. air-uh-kiss or uh-rack-sis (Dune)) there are no other similiarities.
So, in otherwords, I humbly suggest you chase conspiracies elsewhere. There are none here.
