Best news we seen in a while comes from the chinese website lol. I'd LOVE to have this video in HD. I must say that the games graphics are MUCH better then I expected. If they pull that much detail off, and the game still runs well with as much players as they claim, I'll be very impressed.

Holy fuck. Some amazing footage there.

If I have to complain about something, Higby is a much better "front man" in front of the camera than the executive producer

Tray's voice was so full of badassery that it seemed that even the microphones couldnt properly capture it

I cannot really judge the game based on this footage, it didn't impress any one who I showed it to who hadn't played Planetside before, they just thought it looked generic and didn't get the concept of the game explained to them. This is why I wish SOE would get a thousand testers in there and record them all having a massive battle to get the scale across to people.

Some things I want to point out...

1. Too much bloom/HDR whatever is used.

2. The movement looked jerky when you were looking around holding the gun. To me that says the sensitivity is too high or the movement is very floaty. Shooters need weight to them to making the shooting satisfying and this was a major problem with Planetside.

3. I still think the Agile armour (I think it is) needs a redesign, it doesn't look very good. The Exo armour that was shown for the TR just looks amazing, the Agile stuff just has no personality and makes the game look like another generic shooter.

Overall it looks promising and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. I just hope SOE listens to the feedback they get when the game is in beta testing and if something is very wrong with the game, then delays it. DCUO proved to be such another flop for SOE because the game just wasn't ready to be released, so they need to learn that if you fail on release it's hard to make any comeback.

That gameplay video showed more in better quality than BF3 gameplay trailers.

Once we get some real footage though...holy shit...

It's been a long time since I last got into first person shooters (planetside/counter strike), when I read Planetside will have some Battlefield/MW elements in it's style of play I then decided to break a long term hate for MW (I tried it a few times before), and got MW3, I forced myself to play enough to hit a prestige (Yes I hate MW enough for it to feel like torture), I also bought Battlefield, which I'm slowly getting into (I started with MW to help me develop my hand to eye coordination and reflexes which I've lost through the years, and MW has fast pace action compared to Battlefield),
I'll be forcing myself to play these games (so I don't start off Planetside as a complete noob and give up before I start).
This shows you how much I'm looking forward to Planetside.
Please oh please give us Beta so I wouldn't have to play these alternatives for much longer!
I was always worried if all this is worth it or not, but after watching this clip...it feels worth it
