Scheduled betas are usually a temporary measure until they can get the infrastructure working to have it run 24/7. At this point in the beta, player feedback isn't really as important as technical feedback that they gather on their end from us simply trying to all log on and screw around.

A lot of this^^. Though I have been involved in a few betas that did scheduled ONLY.

You're still wrong, the true Eastern world is China (and Korea and rest of Asia), both historically and geographically. (Although due to the wonderous way nature made our planet, we still think of all those places as further 'West' of the United States - at least in NA we do.)
