Also, i think people are slightly underestimating the effect ping will have.

We know the game is much more faster paced, and the faster the pace the bigger the ping issues get. In PS1 at the moment i have about 120 ping and i hardly notice any difference, only when i'm trying to Snipe.

However, from the little bits of shooting that i've seen in PS2 - i think 100+ MS when everyone else is playing at 20~ will be a significant disadvantage.

I'd rather have 100+ ms on a international server than playing on a EU server with pro7.

Just to elaborate a bit on what Zat said above, last week we let you know that we were working on finding a solution to the EU/US community split. This morning Smed has confirmed we have found a solution to avoid needing the split and are working to make this a full reality.

Smed wanted to let you know as speedily as possible, and tweets are an easy way to do so. It wasn’t a stretch to guess that it would quickly be reposted to the relevant communities. We’ll have more details later as we get them. I’ll clarify a bit right now and say that “All players” in Smed’s tweet specifically referred to all players potentially impacted by the ProSieben deal.

As for further concerns, yes we continue to listen to what you all have to say and are in communication about many of them. Clarification and further communication on many of these concerns is also in the works, but those are seperate issues from the EU server issue and we wanted to get communication about that as quickly as we could.

Please put ping restrictions in the game and just let us join any server we want if our ping is low enough. I think a 250ping limit is fair enough.

Ironmole, I don't think someone with 250 ping would be willing to endure that torture to play with friends unless they did a fairly non combat role like engineering.

No offense to you RadarX, I realize you're a mouthpiece for SOE, but this is a prime example of why PS2 is going to end up in the shitter just like PS1 did. SOE could give 2 squats about PS on the whole besides what it can bring to the bank receipts.

If it wasnt for EQ/DCUO this would of never been even discussed after the fact. SOE hasnt even seen the dress we have on and they want to take us out to the barn to suck hind tit.
