Aw but it would be funny if someone tried to eject upside down close to the ground only to send themselves rocketing straight into the ground at lethal speeds.

Edit: what about instant tank-bail-jetpack before a damaged tank explodes ?
Lmao that's a fucking mint ideal!!!! The 3rd ones

Let's say you miss the outfit gal and it just toke off fuck it I'll jetpack and grab on to it

Initially they had it set to anything but a MAX could drive/pilot anything, but have since said the Rexo HA class wouldn't be able to fly. Not sure if that means Rexo can drive tanks still or not.

As long as any engineer load out can drive a tank or fly an aircraft I'm happy.

Here's what I hope for:

1) Any class lighter than Heavy Assault can pilot/drive any vehicle
2) Only Galaxies provide inertial dampening fields for hotdropping

Ideally what this would mean is that if you wanted to bail out of your aircraft from higher altitude, you would have to use Light Assault and hit your jump jets right before impact to slow your descent.

I just think this would make aircav a little more interesting. You could still pick engi or medic or cloaker to pilot them, but if you wanted to eject safely you would have to skim the ground/roof pretty close. I think it would make bailing feel slightly less cheep.

Obviously cloaker pilots would still be used to drive/pilot anything where they driver wanted to be able to sneak around after leaving the vehicle, and engi would probably be pretty much the default driver class for almost everything but piloting, where even then engi would still be a good choice for those wanting to fix up their aircraft anywhere they go.

I wouldn't mind seeing engi be given some class specific cert tree options relating to driving/piloting. Make engis be sort of like the official unofficial driver class. Maybe give Light Assault one or two piloting specific things as well.

Medic would probably be the only class that could drive/fly that rarely would. Still, the option would be nice to have for the rare cases where that's what a player wanted to do, and it's not like medics being able to drive/pilot would have any negative issues with game balance like HA or MAXes being able to.

Umm I think thats what the whole customization aspect of PS2 is for? I mean the stuff you actually pay money for.

If you want to look like a pilot I'm sure they will oblige you... If you have the cash.

They are not going to change the basic look of each armor class. You can only change the color patterns on them.

You can certainly make all your troopers in your particular Air Cav wear a "uniform" from the cash shop if that is your want.

Anyhoo....if 100,000 people cry out for a Flight Suit...the SOE suits will give you one to buy. Certainly this will not be in for launch though.

Personally I think the uncloaked NC Infiltrator suit would make an awesome "Flight Suit".

personally i would love a flight suit, even in tanks we all wore somthing like a flight suit in real life. (and had nothing but a pistol on our bodies and a carbine nearby)

AAHH, brilliant and novel thoughts in here!

I love the idea of combining Light Assault's jetpack functions to airflight. A group of Lights can jet up to catch a low flying Galaxy, or even better, they can eject from a far off galaxy for a stealthier approach via Glider Jets to an enemy position.

Love it!
