It's the trees. Without animal life they have to spread seeds by other means. The sound is caused by the tiny seeds being fired out of rifled tubes running through the leaves.

Old lore dude. PS2 is practically a re-boot, remember?

We know nothing of Auraxis at this point. The last official lore entry was months ago (since July last year), and in it the fleet has just discovered Auraxis and are heading towards it (probably took them several months or so). We don't know what they've encountered or what has happened before the start of the war, or about the discovery of the Vanu artifacts, etc.

It feels like they just abandoned updating it

I, too, would like the continuation of the lore. I like it and I would really like to know more of Auraxis.

...and what is that noise in the Biolabs!?? It's driving me crazy. I do a lot of sitting around babysitting our Biofarms while my platoon gets XP, and when it's quiet I swear you can hear something cooing...

Surely you can't expect humanity to travel half way around the universe and not bring chicken with them . It was customary for the Spanish to take with them cows, hogs chicken and other animals and let them loose on newly discovered islands. This was so when thy returned to the land years later to settle they would find plenty for food.
