Responsible Video Game Journalism?

Hasn't anybody told Fox News that all video games aer the spawn of the debil and that if you ever even heard of Doom your going to shoot up your neighborhood, and eat the brains of your victems?

It's nice to see someone write up an article that's not bad mouthing my favroite pastime.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,72274,00.html

With the furor over violent games like the wildly successful "Grand Theft Auto" series, the popular answer is the former. However, a handful of researchers are arguing that video games are, in fact, helping kids become smarter and faster than their forebears.

"Video games can enhance certain skills in a child," Texas A&M University professor Steve Dorman told The Aggie Daily. "Students with a high degree of spatial visualization are usually high achievers in math and science."

Also heard recently that the average age of todays video gamer is now 28. Obviously more games are being written and developed with the more mature gamer in mind.

Hey Mars, just don't show this to Kane. If you do he'll be trying to tell you that he needs GTA:VC to help him get into an Ivy League School.

I definitely credit my awesomeo brain power to playing video games for the greater portion of my free time. My parents would disagree with me, but hey. Can't please everyone.

Maybe that and the fact I read a good portion of my time and pay attention to current events. Call it crazy.

Yea it has taken them a long time to figure it out. My parents didn't want me to play violent video games when I was younger just because they thought I was gonna start murdering people... how sad.
