EA will ban you from ALL their games, if you play on unoffical BF3 servers

Since then, DICE has released a statement on Battlelog, informing users not to join any unofficial/hacked servers. Doing so can compromise your EA account and have it banned by EA (meaning you won’t have access to your other EA games, either).

ahh I remember the good old days when players could run their own servers without a global login system. You could use whatever name you wanted, and play with your server if you wanted to.

Well in this case its easy, its running game modes that are not supposed to be running atm and player counts higher than 32.

I can understand banning people for hacking in official servers, but why can't people play in unranked unofficial hacked servers as much as they want to? It's at their own risk and won't affect affect anything other than their stats on that specific server.

They just keep proving that giant video game conglomerates are bad for the industry.

Thing is with this. Quick Match will bring you into those servers...this wont happen.

Why don't they just block the unofficial/hacked servers from the browser? I'm with TigerSmith, I don't see how they could do this. Unless, the anti-hack software they use is auto-banning folks. Big issues at EA support if this is the case.

Also, the article states that EA posted about this on the BF3 forums (BattleLog) but I see nothing right off hand.

tho i can understand the ea hate (especially after playing in so many bf betas)
