lag problems

im having problems where i will get a stopped recieving packet message that never recovers or a message that says you have left the game abruptly, i have tried all three bandwith settings although i have a DSL connection, any suggestions on a fix for this?

you usually only get that message if you alt+tab your PS for along time, personaly Ive never gotton it when I dident Alt+tab PS.
