if you cant load it go to, "www.acer.com" then there should be a button on the top saying products click there and select the aspire series, then it should load you a page with all the products in the serie, click on the bottom one the "9500" and thats it... it shows all of the laptops configuration stuff...

Getting a laptop running

Hi,

I just got my laptop to run the game a week ago. The thing that was stopping me was that the game DEMANDED I changed the Power Settings to the 'Always On' preset. Maybe Laptop hibernation crashes the servers or something. I dunno.

Anyway, the easiest way to get to Power Options (if you aren't familar with the control panel) is to right click your desktop and choose properties. Then click the 'Screen Saver' tab and finally the 'Power' button.

Choose 'Always On' as the Power Scheme and you should be set.

Hope that Helps.

I'm not sure. I dont think that will be good for it unless the M proccessor really does that much better than than the normal Pentiums. Its only 1.5ghz(on top at a 400mhz buss) and only 512MB ram. I'd go for the bigger version.

I run an intel Celron 2.4 on a 400mhz buss with 1 gig of ram(twice that) and i wish i had a bigger proccessor(i get low fps and the game goes slow a lot). I think you basically want the best proccessor you can get and then enough ram to fill up what the system needs plus to pick up any slack for the proccessor. I'd get one of the other two for PS. (This may not be true depending on if the M proccessor works better than the normal celron)

Of course that ram is fast! I dont know how good the m proccessors are. You'll need someone who knows something about them to tell you. (IE I dont really have a clue) The mhz on the proccessor isnt that important though. Amd runs at alot less than pentiums for equal or greater performance. I dont know anything about the m proccessors or i could probly tell you. Theres a few things i havent quite learned about proccessor performance and system performance to just say from looking at that kind of thing.

The link on my last post should bring it up properly. It has for me so far.

Where are the prices. I'd love to see the difference between the 9503 and 9504.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...rchInDesc=9500 Nvm

BTW http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834115199 784 after 100$ mail in rebate! 8)

and there are interestingly no english reviews on the e version. lol Only the 9503.

Though before you ditch the idea you could find out if you can upgrade it to a better proccessor. The proccessors about all you need to worry about i think. It be cheaper than buying the 1600 dollar 9502. You'd just have to see what you can put in it.

If you want to read alot:

http://www.laptopadvisor.com/

I have no idea how good the info is. I read some and it was kind of vague. But it has alot of info. Maybe part of it will go into how to pick system specs for a laptop.

It doesen't require a ton of horsepower but it is a very memory intensive game - it loves ram
