3 day ago, my outfit was defending a Biolab from the Vanu,
We lost eh SCU, there was no hope. So we deployed all c 4, all tank mines and all claymore we had on the 3 entrances of the spawn room. It was epic, I got 2 maxes, a guy with utility ponch lvl 5 got like 5 kill, and a infiltrator also joined the fun with 3 kills, also someone c4 got lots and lots of kills! We already confirmed you can kill flak armor users and maxes combining claymore and anti tank mines, sometime we do use tank mines and c4 to blow incoming sunderer with mine guard, just place a mine, 2 c4 and wait for the best. The problem, we still need more testing, because some say it does, other say it doesn't, we can't confirm the claymore actives the c4 or not with its blast. I think it doesn't. Since your c4 started disappearing when you die, that tactic to kill incoming sunderer with mine + c4 got much harder to accomplish.

I think it's pretty cheesy that all those explosives stick around even while you're doing something else.
I'm a pilot, so I always have stockpiles of infantry resource I don't use. What good reason could I ever have not to put down a bunch of mines and C4 somewhere just for the chance of some extra kills? It makes even less sense that the thing that allows you to place down double the amount of them is a suit slot item that you only need to have active while you place them. |

What I'm getting at is, they should just have a separate cert that sets your maximum number of deployed explosives at any given point in time, rather than making it a suit, because it's just absurd to have this in a slot when you don't need to wear it to keep the bonus.
Slots are all about opportunity cost. They bring you a benefit at the cost of losing your opportunity to get another benefit. This item doesn't conform to that, you don't lose your opportunity to wear better suits while waiting for someone to run over your mines, so it makes no sense to treat it as a slotted item in the first place.
