Author Topic: If no one dies permanently...
Unmaker1138 Station Member Registered: Nov 2002 posted 12-20-2002 01:15 AM user search report post -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Speaking from a strictly story standpoint, if no one permanently dies, won't the planetary population grow at breakneck speed? If children are still being born, the planetary resources might be exhausted in just a few generations. Was this taken into consideration, or is there something I'm not aware of? I'm not complaining, mind you, I *like* the idea... it makes the war all the more meaningful. I mean, imagine everyone on the planet having to rebirth every week because they keep dying of thirst. That'd suck, wouldn't it? All the more reason to make sure that YOUR side gets all the resources NOW. After recording your matrix with the Vanu core (in the center of the planet), you can be rebirthed using their technology. The cost of this is that the Vanu tech makes you sterile. All the plumbing still works, but there is something about being a "copy" or "clone", or whatever you want to call someone that's been rebirthed, that seems to steal that "spark of life" and no children CAN be born. There ya go. Do with that knowledge what you will. http://boards.station.sony.com/ubb/p...ML/000954.html
