Before I played Planetside, I was an Everquest player and had a lot of fun. I do not remember how many times I fell down from Kelethen with my wood elf, or accidentally auto-attacked NPC's instead of hailing them, only to have the guards crush me.
I have made many mistakes in Planetside, some with devistating consequences, and am sure I will repeat some.
- Try to shoot an enemy with a glue gun
- Load up a vehicle with the wrong type of ammo while driving, then get upset with the gunners
- Try to repair vehicles with a cycler
- Throw jammers at people running at me with a jackhammer
- Stop half way through a minefield, toss a jammer at the wrong time, and blow up half of my platoon
- Try to hack a CC with a med tool
I'm sure I did other ill-advised things, mostly from playing too much and being very tired. But hey, I never played a shooter, or such a team oriented game before, so I was bound to goof up while learning. I doubt I will repeat some of the really bad things, but I totally see myself trying to gun someone down with a glue gun again.
Anyone else want to publicly admit to messing up? I know there is more than one of you out there who has driven the LLU the wrong way..... that is one thing I never did.
