On a secondary note, surely making everyone have 2 or 3 accounts would make empire hopping worse since you'd not be able to enforce some sort of cooldown on it. Where as if we had all 3 on 1 acc, you could put a small timer in (again could be circumvented but many may be too lazy, same arguement as the pro 1 acc have for spying i guess)

again kind of my point, inconvenience in a F2P is never really going to stop anyone doing something if they want to, so why make things harder for normal people

But is it actually that much harder? Most normal people will create 2 accounts if an empire lock is imposed, since the game is "free" after all...

It's really hard to implement such things when accounts are easy and simple to create.

That depends on how you look at it. Personally for me, I do NOT want 3 extra accounts and having to remember 3 more different passwords from the already countless amount of accounts over the internet I already own. Sure if someone doesn't have the money they will make 3 new accounts but let those that can have everything on one account, happen.

3 accounts doesn't require you to have 3 different passwords.

Also, what has money go to do with having 1 or 3 different accounts? The game is free.

For the sake of security I never use the same password, it's just a rule of thumb for me.

As for money yes I know it's a free game but if they were still going to have empire locks at release I would pay to have different empires on my single account.

that's exactly the point, if it's so easy and makes no difference, why bother forcing people to do it,

it's just a barrier that will be annoying and serve no purpose

don't get me wrong, i'll be playing all three empire, on 3 accounts if needed, but i'd prefer not to have all the fuss, I'd like Higby et al. to think about this before the game goes live, since it'd be easy to do something about it now, and a nightmare when everyone has 3 accounts later

It's the logic behind the game. They might want to have empire specific accounts since they've made the game more empire specific - so rewards schemes etc for loyalty.

All can be done different ways, I agree. I'm not in favour of one or the other as either doesn't bother me.
