I've been watching this community for a couple of days now and i must say, i like it. I have yet to see the rage i've often witnessed on most forums... I hope i fit in alright.
Also the faction rivalry banter is kind of contagious! I suppose i should say something about myself. I always felt like FPS games lacked something and that MMOs were fun, but not the best thing ever. When i heard about the concept of MMOFPS years ago, i lost my mind. Sadly by then PS1 servers were half empty (or so i was told) and that crushed me. Since then i've been waiting for another similar game to come along, but none seemed to match my expectations... Until i checked out TB's youtube channel a few days ago and now my gaming life has meaning again! Anyway see you out there, and death to all oppressors and alien zombies!

I recognize that feeling. When I first heard about Planetside 1 many years ago, I was mind-boggled that nobody had thought of this earlier. And later on once the populations of PS1 started to die down and I wanted to relive the experience, there was never a good alternative, and I couldn't figure out why.
I kept on waiting for DICE to make a Battlefield MMOFPS, but sadly that never came around. Probably EA who didn't think there was a market for it, and would rather dabble in the already so exploited MMORPG market. So of course I am really glad that PS2 came around to once reignite our hopes of once again being able to fight on a massive battlefield with friends and foes. Oh, and welcome to PSU you rebel scum!

The level of respect I believe that most of PS people have for each other is far and above anything else I've come across in gaming. The community is tight, and we all share a common goal...
the goal of course is to eradicate the other two factions.. but it's still a common goal.. welcome

I'm happy to hear we can all get along while we shoot eachother's faces off.
