Engineer Ammo and ACE ammo: What's the difference?

Hi Guys,

As the title says, what is the difference between the ammo an engineer can drop as part of the default weapon load and the ammo certification for the ACE?

Oh,and how do you give ammo directly to someone? I'm know I used to be able to do this, but cannot remember which key to press.I know you have to free up the mouse, but then cannot figure out how to get the menu up over someone.

Thanks in advance.

Essentially you switch to the ammo pack and throw it on the ground. The ACE allows you to deploy a stationary machine gun atm. I'm not 100% sure on the ammo certification for it.

Cheers Hamma,it was specifically the ACE ammo cert I was puzzling over. Guess Ill have to buy it and see.

The whole engineer certs seem a bit of a mess at the moment, normal ammo and ACE ammo, grenade bandoleers and C4 bandoleers. Hohum Thats what Beta is for.
