Is this just a newbies version of the tutorial stuff that xfactor dude put on video?
(What ever happened to that, thought it was to be an on going tutorial series commissioned by PS2, maybe this is its continuation.) I'm assuming its not designed for those already playing if its an overview and has tips for new players etc. Where exactly am I meant to tell new players to go to watch this stuff and what time, the tweets are a bit vague? |

The problem is, they attract those kind of people to the game. I'd rather we had 5,000 smart, mature players than 50,000 squealing fuckwits. However, I know that's an impossible dream... |

Oh, I didn't know BuzzcutPsycho was part of the MLG player demographi- Oh, oops. He's not. There goes your argument. Video games attract competitive people which in turn attracts assholes. PS2 has had its share of hyper-assholes since launch, before MLG was even a gleam in SOE's eyes, and it will have assholes forever more. MLG isn't going to alter that reality in any way, shape or form. |

Watched it for the most part tonight and well, it's a start.
Jimmy did a good job in explaining all the different aspects of the game. Hearing him talking all the time to at least give outsiders some perspective made me realize how much we seem to have forgotten as experienced players about how much there is to this game already. We keep asking for more meta game as this game feels stale, meaningless and swallow to us atm. But already in its current state PS2 makes COD-like games feel like Fisher Price. Biggest let down: You need a paid subscription to participate in chat discussion. This is an absolute blunder from a marketing perspective. In this early stage, you want as much people as possible in chat to help out potential new players and keep the buzz going. You can go back to a paid subscription chat barrier in a later stage but for now this game needs to build up momentum. Last edited by Rolfski; 2013-03-31 at 08:20 PM. |

Ok.. I am so far singularly unimpressed with either Twitch or MLG's navigation.. Twitch doesn't save favorites/following, and the only result on MLG for PS2 War Report is a.. I'm guessing a 'we're not broadcasting right now' static feed.. So, what, MLG is only LIVE streaming? I want to support the game and the show, but neither Twitch nor MLG is making it particularly inviting to do so.. Or is there some usage model that I should just know?
--------------- So.. I finally find the 'Past broadcasts' page.. it gives me an ad.. then demands I subscribe to watch it without ads.. No, I'm not paying $10 to watch A show and figure out if it's worth watching.. So, I can watch the non-HD stream with ads LIVE, but I can't watch it afterwards? Have they learned nothing from the birth of DVRs and the death of watching TV shows live? Or, again, have they made it unnecessarily complicated to just freaking watch their content?
