Everyone's feedback is equal. Because you played a decade old game has no bearing on your ability to properly test a new one. Your opinion matters exactly as much as everyone else who may spend money on PS2. They're doing you a favor and stroking your little ego by ensuring you get in along with everyone else. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake and you are no more qualified to test and give feedback than anyone else.

And that's coming from a PS1 vet, for the record.

This is rubbish, peoples experiences with the game are clearly different between vets and complete newbs, the game is going to mirror the original in a lot of ways so the vets are going to have a headstart when it comes to understanding the game mechanics.

The problem is that noobs who don't understand game mechanics are going to cry nerf/buff on things which aren't actually unbalanced they just don't understand the available counters.

Feedback should absolutely be classified by experience, personally I think every suggestion should be weighted with an importance/priority based on the total play time of the player involved.

Opinions on things like game direction should be are all equally valid, however that's decided before the game is built, once the game has passed out of alpha it becomes feature locked for beta testing and that's just bug hunting and balance tweaks essentially.

After launch if there's ongoing development adding new features and devs want feedback specifically on new features and general direction then all players should be considered equally.

Sorry but newbs are just that, newbs, they don't know how to play and cannot suggest balance changes which are meaningful for the game as a whole.

Well a a longtime silent reader i finally registered to the forums.

First of all its good to see that Beta may be starting in the next 2-3 Month, but i wonder if it will be aviable only over launchpad for the beginning ?

I hope that the retail version will be aviable over Steam as the rest of SOE F2P Games are to catch a greater range of gamers.

The magazine comes out Feb 28th... which is a full month (plus some) from April 1st. You know... that whole month of March thing?

Let's not be pedantic here. It is - that doesn't mean there's an extra fucking month, it means there's an extra day: February 29th. It's been said that the magazine comes out on the 28th. Not the 29th. If I'd meant the fucking 29th, I would have said the fucking 29th. Instead, I said "a whole month and then some" to account for the extra days.
